The Commercial & Legal Contracts Analyst / Co-ordinator will join an established commercial & legal contracts team of a truly innovative c.£40m t/o, highly profitable and continually expanding business group.

As part of the centralised and group-wide commercial & legal contracts team which has been recently restructured with investment in both its people and technology, this role will assist in ensuring the business’s contractual engagements are compliant, risk mitigated, commercially agreeable and where possible advantageous to the business across all areas of the group's activities.

This role could be an opportunity for an early-career legal professional who has demonstrable interest to develop a more rounded commercial 'business-orientated' in-house legal career path focused on B2B legal contracts review, analysis, drafting, negotiation and wider commercial administration activity.

Joining a hugely successful technology business within which the Commercial & Legal team sit at the heart of the organisation, the Commercial & Legal Contracts Analyst will be offered extensive training and development opportunity to work in close support and advisory position to directors, senior management and sales departments leading all contractual matters covering:

• B2B Sales & Supplier - NDA's, contractual T&C's analysis, review, drafting, negotiation and amendment/renewal
• Wider business commercial administration and project work

The business is long established but in a high growth environment with recent group acquisitions and multimillion £ investment for further growth. As reflected in the salary banding, the role can be flexible to existing experience/skill set levels with tailored career development support.

Key qualifications & experience required for Commercial & Legal Contracts Analyst / Co-ordinator application:

• Legal degree (LLB) qualified as a minimum, LPC qualification and the practical contracts training element this provides may also be a further advantage
• c.1-3+ years post-grad professional experience (this can be any administration-based in-house role but any exposure to B2B contract review/drafting is a further advantage)
• A demonstrable & genuine interest in a commercial 'business-orientated' in-house legal career path as opposed to a traditional legal practice route... This role will become a specialist in all matters related to B2B commercial & legal contracts and SME (subject matter expert) to internal stakeholder groups in a commercial business setting.
• Some basic contract drafting and amendment experience
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to review B2B T&C’s to ensure contracts and wider commercial legal doc's (such as NDA's, MOU's, tenders, sales & supply contracts, partner/licencing agreements etc) are legally compliant, risk mitigated, mutually agreeable and where possible commercially advantageous.
• Able to demonstrate good wider ‘commercial business’ awareness and the basic application of contract law within.
• First-class written and verbal communication skills able to (with training and support) directly converse and advise on commercial & contractual issues across stakeholder groups.
• Adaptable and willing to engage in wider commercial administration and project work.
• Analytical and inquisitive in approach.
