A global (FTSE100) Software Technology & Data services business seek a Commercial Manager / Legal Contracts Manager to join their UK&I Commercial & Legal contracts team based in either London or the East Midlands.

Salary - c.£50000 - £60000 + excellent % bonus & benefits package
Location - either London (walking distance from Waterloo) or East Midlands, with flexible (1-2 days p/w from home) working practices

As an established, yet still expanding global market leader with B2B and B2C software and data services product platforms this business is in the process of transforming its UK&I and EMEA Commercial Contracts Management functions and is seeking top CCM talent to develop and engage best in class commercial deal management / legal contracting process & practice.

The Commercial Contracts Manager will support sales functions across UK&I to deliver the value and benefits of dedicated CCM and legal contracts expertise. Providing commercially focused contracts T&C's review, SME advice, drafting and negotiation at distance and directly with customers to ensure mutually agreeable, risk mitigated and commercially advantageous outcomes.

The CCM division and this role are involved from early, pre-award engagement to post-award contracts management across diverse and bespoke customer contracts/deals (Private & Public sector), in collaboration and with support from their in-country sales, legal and wider operation peers.

An opportunity suited to a Commercial Manager / Commercial Contracts Manager / Legal Contracts Manager with ambition, energy and first-class legal contracts review, drafting & negotiation skill sets who is able to manage and execute a high volume of software/service contracts across a diverse array of customer types and sectors.

Expertise required for Commercial Contracts Manager application:

- Proven customer engaged, pre & post sales award B2B commercial contracts review, negotiation and drafting as a commercial manager, legal contracts manager or similar
- Experienced in the review and negotiation of key aspects within IT / Data / Technology / Software service related sales contracts inclusive of GDPR, SaaS, IP etc.
- Experience of complex & bespoke (standard & non-standard) contract structuring in a high volume, fast paced environment while working within global corporate governance and policy
- An advanced level of legal contracts T&C’s knowledge, adept in all aspects of contract risk mitigation and commercial advantage maximisation (from redline review through to finalisation)
- Solid understanding of wider commercial finance, pricing and P&L related to sales contracts
- Excellent negotiation skills & experience of relationship development across UK and/or international internal & external stakeholders as a commercial manager / legal contracts manager
- Ability to engage and embed best in class CCM process to ultimately deliver mutually agreeable, risk mitigated and commercially advantageous contract solutions
- Legal (LLB, LLM, LPC), commercial law (CILEx) or contracts (IACCM) qualification will be advantageous but other degree background with proven professional CCM experience equally welcome

While open to Commercial Contracts Manager / Commercial Manager / Legal Contracts Manager applicants from all sector backgrounds able to demonstrate the above, the nature of the business and contracts will be most likely suited to professionals with experience as a commercial manager / legal contracts manager within the IT, Software, Telco, FinTech, Services or BPO related sectors with complex IP and GDPR issues..
