A global (Fortune500) engineering & technology solutions business is seeking to expand its EMEA legal & contracts division, creating an opportunity for a junior/developing Contracts Officer, Commercial Officer or in-house commercial Paralegal with c.2 years+ experience to join the Crawley based team.

The Commercial Contracts Specialist will join the technology solutions division of a truly global engineering group to provide expert advice and lead the administration, review, drafting, negotiation of contract T&C’s and commercial issues across a diverse array of complex customer (sales) contracts for the business’ EMEA operations.

An ideal opportunity for a developing / early career (c.2-3+ years) commercial officer, contracts officer, contracts administrator or commercial paralegal with B2B contracts drafting background to take their next career step into a fast paced and end to end commercial contracts role…. international contracts and direct corporate customer interaction (not just ‘back office’ red-line review!)

The Contracts Specialist will work alongside a small team of fellow contracts specialists who offer SME (subject matter expert) support to the business across all contractual / commercial legal matters and administration (customer sales contracts, sub-contracts, teaming, partner agreement, NDA's etc).

Key experience required for Commercial Contracts Officer / Specialist application:

• c.2 years+ experience of commercial / corporate B2B contracts T&C’s review, negotiation, drafting, change, amendment and administration of NDA's, MOU's, Bid, tender and proposal documents.
• Law / Legal related qualification preferred (i.e. Law LLB, GDL, LPC, CILEx, IACCM etc)
• Other qualification with professional experience in a commercial officer / contracts officer / Contracts Administrator, B2B contract drafting capacity in place of this equally considered
• A good foundation of B2B contracts T&C’s understanding from a legal and commercial business perspective (risk mitigated, mutually agreeable & commercially advantageous)
• Excellent interpersonal & communication skills:- able to develop relationships with local and international internal stakeholder groups (Sales, Project management, Technical, Procurement) and external customer counterparts.
• Experience likely gained in role(s) such as: Commercial Officer, Contracts Officer, Contracts Specialist, Contracts Administrator or in-house commercial Paralegal


N.B.
The business provides technical software, hardware and communication technology for a highly regulated industry sector-specific experience of this is not required as training and development support will be provided as long as core B2B legal contracts T&C’s review and drafting can be demonstrated..
