A global IT & Technology (FTSE 100) services business have an opportunity for a junior / developing Commercial Contracts Specialist or in-house Paralegal with c. 2 years+ experience to join their London based Commercial & Legal team.

The Commercial Contracts Specialist will join a truly global and yet still expanding market leading business, within an established and supportive Legal & Commercial Contracts team who actively encourage career development and promote from within.

This role and the commercial contracts team’s focus is to lead the legal & commercial review, negotiation, drafting and conclusion of all key contracts across the business’ customers, partners and suppliers. This will be from pre-sale initial NDA / bid & tender stages through to contracual agreement conclusion and post sales / agreement through life management. Ensuring contracts are risk mitigated, commercially agreeable and all parties are fully aware of & adhere to corporate governance and legislative requirements (i.e. GDPR, IPR etc).

Location - London (walking distance from Waterloo station)
Experience required for Commercial Contracts Specialist application:
• c. 18-24 months+ (as a minimum) professional industry experience across the review, negotiation, drafting and administration of commercial business contracts (ideally pre to post sale contracts)
• Good understanding of legal T&C’s from a commercial business perspective
• Experience of the review and drafting of NDA’s, MOU’s and related commercial documentation
• Pre-existing professional experience likely gained in role(s) such as: Commercial Officer, Contracts Officer, Contracts Administration or in-house Paralegal
• Demonstrable experience of communicating across various seniority levels of internal and external stakeholders group

Experience of benefit, but not mandatory:
• Legal or commercial Law related qualification (i.e. Law LLB, LPC, Cilex , IACCM etc)
• Any commercial experience of IT software, SaaS related contracts and licencing
• Experience of leading the negotiating of specific T&C’s / contractual issues with external business customers.
