A global data services & BPO business seek a talented Senior Commercial Manager to lead commercial contract review, negotiation and deal structuring in a newly created EMEA regions customer / business CCM focus.

As an established yet still expanding global market leader with B2B and B2C product platforms, my client are creating an EMEA commercial contracts management function to develop and engage best in class commercial management process and practice across its existing EMEA (non UK) business operations, but based in and led from the UK.

Reporting to the EMEA Commercial Director and working alongside the existing UK&I CM function the Senior Commercial Manager will lead CCM (commercial contracts management) engagement across the EMEA operations to deliver the value and benefits of dedicated CCM expertise. This will be from early engagement, pre contract award stages across diverse and bespoke customer contracts / deals (Private & Public sector), in collaboration and with support from their in-country sales, legal and wider operation peers.

The EMEA offices (outside of UK&I) have ever expanding business opportunities but currently have little CCM engagement and support (just direct in-country sales and legal) creating a fantastic ‘green field’ opportunity for a senior commercial manager with ambition, energy and first class legal contracts review / negotiation skill sets to demonstrate the value CCM can bring to the international business (specifically at pre-award stages).

Salary – c.£75000 + car allowance + up to 25% bonus and excellent benefits package

Location – This role can be based from either London or East Midlands offices
+ c.10% international role travel (It is anticipated the role will only have an ‘ad-hoc’ travel requirement for key meetings / negotiations with the vast majority engagement being led remotely from the UK).
Expertise required for Senior Commercial Manager - EMEA application:

• Proven ‘senior level’ customer engaged pre & post B2B commercial contracts review, engagement and negotiation
• Ability and experience of complex & bespoke (non-standard) deal structuring with working within corporate governance and policy
• An advanced level of legal contracts T&C’s knowledge, adept is all aspects of contract risk mitigation and commercial advantage maximisation (from redline review through to finalisation)
• Experienced in the review and negotiation of key aspects within IT / Data / Service related contracts inclusive of GDPR, SaaS, IP, indemnities etc.
• Excellent customer facing negotiation skills & experience of relationship development across international and remote internal stakeholders
• Ability to engage and embed best in class CCM process to ultimately deliver contractual risk mitigation and commercial value
• Legal, commercial law, IACCM qualification may be advantageous

While open to Senior Commercial Manager / Contracts Manager applicants from all sector backgrounds able to demonstrate the above, the nature of the business and contracts will be most likely suited to a professional with experience as a senior commercial manager / senior contracts manager within complex IT, Telco, Services or BPO related sectors with complex GDPR, IP and SaaS issues..
