An Aerospace and Defence sector technology design and manufacturing business have an opportunity for a commercial professional to join their trithing and extremely busy Brighton business unit as Commercial Officer / Contracts Officer.

Joining a growing commercial team this is a fantastic career development opportunity offering a broad diversity of commercial & contracts business support involvement. A role ideally suited to a professional with existing Commercial Officer / Administrator or Contracts Officer / Administrator experience or potentially a related supply chain / procurement administration role seeking their next career development step to a role which will have involvement across:

• Customer contracts review, negotiation, change and finalisation
• Bid / Proposal preparation
• Supporting contractual documentation (NDA, MOU, RFI, RFP, RFQ’s etc)
• Import / Export control process & documentation
• Wider business administration

The business have a hugely busy orderbook spanning UK and international customer base for which this role will have responsibly in supporting all area’s of commercial and contracts; from proposals to contractual negotiation, drafting, change / amendment to finalisation and related process such as export licencing and systems administration.

Salary - £25000 - £30000 + benefits

Location – Brighton
Experience required for Contracts Officer / Commercial Officer application:
• Proven experience within a business administration role related to the support of contracts review, negotiation & drafting, export / import and related commercial documentation and process
• Ideally experience of such gained within a technical engineering / manufacturing related environment
• Strong professional communication skills able to liaise internal and external stakeholders on a localised and international basis
• Excellent attention to detail with ability to review and finalise contracts and related commercial documents
• Understanding & appreciation of commercial process impact on wider business success

Desirable (not mandatory) experience:
• Experience gained within an aerospace / defence technical engineering regulated environment
• Any experience of export regulations (specifically ITAR / INCOTERMS)
• Any experience of Defence / MOD contracting terms such as DEFCONS

Candidate must be eligible to gain UK SC level security clearance..
