A market-leading and high growth software, data analytics and technical services business is seeking to expand it's In-House Legal & Commercial team and have created an opportunity to invest in a ‘junior/graduate’ legal professional with an ambition/interest to develop a more commercial business-orientated in-house legal career.
The Commercial & Legal Contracts Analyst will be rewarded with extensive in-role training and support from the wider legal team + full business sponsorship to further their legal education to LPC level with defined career progression opportunity.
Salary - c.£20000 - £23000 (DOE)

Location - Remote home working + Crawley / Gatwick area office split

This Commercial & Legal Contracts Analyst role represents a unique opportunity for a high-grade LLB or LLM graduate/early-career legal professional with rare practical experience and LPC qualification investment. The successful candidate will develop a specialist career focusing on B2B legal contracts T&C's review, analysis, drafting, negotiation and wider commercial management activity within an innovative and hugely successful technology business (as opposed to traditional legal practice career routes).
The Legal & Commercial Contracts team and this role sit at the heart of the business working in close support and advisory position to directors, senior management and sales departments leading all legal / contractual matters covering:
• New business / B2B customer sales - contractual T&C's review, negotiation, drafting and amendment at tender/proposal and renewal stages)
• Strategic supplier (procurement) - contractual review, negotiation, drafting and through life SLA management
• Wider business commercial & legal administration, project work, defining and implementing commercial process, governance, regulatory policy ++
Key qualification & experience required for Graduate Commercial & Legal Contracts Analyst application:
• LLB Law degree at 2:1 or above min (other degree with GDL conversion or LLM also welcome)
• A genuine and demonstrable interest in a commercial business-orientated In-House Legal career and to become a specialist in all matters commercial & legal contracts related and SME (subject matter expert) to internal stakeholder groups in a commercial business setting rather than a traditional legal practice route.
• Able to demonstrate good wider ‘commercial business’ awareness and the application contract law within.
• Any additional relevant commercial business / legal professional work experience a strong benefit to an application (likely 0.5-2 yrs)
• First-class written and verbal communication skill able to directly converse and advise on contractual issues at senior levels.
• Analytical and inquisitive in approach.
• Excellent attention to detail with an interest to apply legal expertise to commercial B2B contractual T&C’s review & negotiation to ensure contracts are risk mitigated, commercially advantageous and mutually agreeable.

- Opportunities are also available for already LPC qualified professionals with slightly more experience.
