A global technology engineering business seeks a Commercial Contracts Officer with experience of contracts T&C’s review, drafting, negotiation and wider commercial process administration.
Role - Commercial Officer / Commercial Contracts Specialist
Rate - £300-£350 p/d LTD (DOE)
Duration - 6 months
(initial contract, further extension and/or a permanent contract may also be an option)
Location - Buckinghamshire
Established as a global leader in its technology field, this business has an extensive existing order book / future pipeline and is seeking additional expertise to support its established CCM team.
The role has some scope to be tailored depending on a candidate’s experience level and could suite a relatively early career commercial officer/contracts officer or equally a more established interim CCM who is happy to undertake a balance of CM and commercial process administration.
Scope:
• Commercial and contractual support for technical engineering design, supply and service agreements (pre & post-award sales agreements)
• Review, negotiation, drafting and amendment of both standard and customer contract T&C’s
• Commercial interface with customers and suppliers
• Support technical sales and project engineering teams on all contractual issues and commercial process
• Commercial process administration support: quotes, pricing, bids, proposals and export control documentation.
• Maintain pricing models, monitor contractual payment adherence and upkeep of all details on the business ERP/database systems
Experience/expertise sought:
• Proven experience in Commercial Officer/Contracts Officer or Commercial / Contracts Manager posts ideally within a technical engineering, manufacturing or technology environment
• Contract review, amendment drafting & negotiation of technical B2B T&C’s with a focus on mitigating legal risk and maintaining commercial advantage
• Exposure to Gov, MOD, aerospace or defence technology contracts and commercial issues would be an advantage – wider sector, transferable CCM skills equally considered
• Happy to undertake wider commercial documentation and systems administration to support the division
• Legal, IACCM or MCIPS qualification of benefit
